One of Roxy’s favorite toys ever is this ugly yellow thing. It used to be a plush squid/octopus-type creature, but we relieved it of its squeaker, stuffing, googly eyes, and tentacles in a relatively short period of time. All that remains is its disembowled body. It doesn’t even resemble anything anymore so Mom feels weird calling it Mr. Squid or Squiddy, but it’s easier (and less embarrassing) to say than “ratty old chunk of crusty cloth”. She can’t bear to throw it out because Roxy loves it so much, and so continues to wash it and gaze upon it with disgust as it sits on the living room floor among untouched, expensive dog toys.

Roxy loves to dig Squiddy out of the toy bin and shake him and pull him inside out. She even catches him on command if Mom throws him in the air.

Roxy + Squiddy: true love forever!
